The product name of Manus, meaning "hand", comes from the Latin mens et manus (integration of knowledge and action).

Manus said on its official website that Manus is a universal AI agent that can think, plan and execute complex tasks independently and directly deliver complete results.

Manus believes that by GAIA Benchmark, its tools achieve new state-of-the-art performance across all three difficulty levels, surpassing OpenAI.

According to the Securities Times, market insiders analyzed that 2025 is generally regarded as the first year of commercialization of AI agents. Gartner predicts that 15% of daily work decisions will be completed by agents by 2028. Manus AI, as the world's first general AI Agent product, has an effect that exceeds OpenAI DeepResearch, marking the leap from single task execution to complex decision-making, which may accelerate the penetration of AI in the fields of medical care, finance, manufacturing, etc.

Manus, who can work independently

According to the Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily, Manus is a C-end product launched by the startup BUTTERFLY EFFECT (Butterfly Effect).

Beijing Butterfly Effect Technology Co., Ltd., a domestically affiliated company in Butterfly Effect, was established on April 20, 2022. The main reliance on the capabilities of large models is still the ability of large models.
