Beihai Municipal Veterans Affairs Bureau Functional Information
(a) It is responsible for the organisation and implementation of policies and regulations on the ideology and politics of veterans, management and security, as well as resettlement and preferential treatment; it also praises and commends veterans for their sacrifices and dedication to the Party, the State and the people, as well as for their values.
(b) Responsible for the transfer and resettlement of the city's military cadres, demobilised cadres, retired cadres, retired soldiers and non-military retired and retired workers, as well as the service and management of veterans who have chosen their own jobs and employment.
(3) Organising and guiding the city's education and training of veterans, and coordinating support for the employment and entrepreneurship of veterans and family members accompanying the military.
(4) To conduct research on the city's special protection policies for veterans and organise their implementation in conjunction with relevant departments.
(e) Organising and coordinating the implementation of housing security for retired military personnel, other eligible retired military personnel and retired non-military employees transferred from the military to the city, as well as the protection of retired military personnel's medical care, social insurance and other entitlements.
(f) organising and guiding the city's service management and pension work for disabled and sick veterans, in accordance with the state and autonomous regions on veterans' medical care, convalescence, old-age care and other institutional planning policies, the formulation of implementation measures and guidance for implementation. Organise and guide the work of military supply service guarantee.
(VII) organisation and guidance of the city's support for the military work. Responsible for active military personnel, retired military personnel, military civilians and military families preferential treatment, pensions, etc., in accordance with the state, the autonomous region on the Nationalist Party war veterans and other relevant personnel preferential treatment policy, the formulation of the implementation of the measures and organisation and implementation.
(H) is responsible for the honours and rewards for martyrs and veterans, the management and maintenance of military cemeteries and commemorative activities, undertakes the work related to the protection of heroes and martyrs in accordance with the law, declares the list of martyrs' memorial buildings to be included in the key protection units of the country, the region and the city, and summarizes, commends and publicizes the advanced and typical deeds of retired military personnel, retired military personnel work units and individuals in accordance with the regulations.
(ix) Guiding and supervising and checking the implementation of laws, regulations and policy measures related to veterans, and organising and carrying out the maintenance of the rights and interests of veterans and the help and assistance of the people concerned.
