This year's government work report proposes that we must adhere to the overall strategy of the Party in solving the Taiwan issue in the new era, adhere to the one-China principle and the "1992 Consensus", resolutely oppose "Taiwan independence" separatism and interference from external forces, and promote the peaceful development of cross-strait relations.

Li Xingkui, a member of the National People's Congress of Taichung, Taiwan, believes that the Taiwan-related part of the report conveys the mainland's sincerest intention to strive for the prospect of peaceful reunification with the greatest sincerity and efforts, and shows the mainland's position and attitude to uphold the one-China principle and promote the reunification of the motherland, and reflects the mainland's strategic confidence in Taiwan policy.

Representatives and deputies from Taiwan Province expressed that they should give full play to the advantages of homesickness and family affection, shoulder the historical mission, help the majority of Taiwanese villagers observe the general trend, shoulder the overall situation, take into account the overall situation, and firmly stand on the right side of history.

"Achieving national reunification is the common aspiration of all Chinese people."
