Winter sports tourism continues to thrive in Guizhou

Following the Spring Festival holiday, the fervor for winter sports in Southwest China's Guizhou province shows no signs of waning, with venues across the province continuing to draw crowds.

The high-altitude outdoor ski resorts of Yushe and Meihua Mountains in Liupanshui, Gaopo in Guiyang, and Taiyangping in Zunyi showcase stunning winter landscapes.

Guizhou has effectively converted its alpine grasslands and meadows to construct outdoor ski resorts. This meets the local demand for ice and snow sports and offers a fresh winter travel experience for tourists from other regions.

The resorts have introduced new activities, experiences, and customers to Guizhou's winter tourism and sparked local enthusiasm for participating in tourism development.

Taiyangping, for instance, has used its alpine meadows and ethnic cultural resources to develop tourism. It has established camping bases and offers activities like bungee jumping and dune buggies. Local farm stays are also thriving.

The transformation of ice and snow into a rural development "hot economy" has opened new avenues for the local tourism industry. Guizhou aims to become a world-class tourist destination, focusing on tourism resources, visitor attractions, and service quality to build a modern tourism industry system.
