Once defined by its rugged terrain and remote villages, a modern-day revolution is unfolding in Southwest China's Guizhou province. A rail-sea intermodal train, which departed from Guiyang International Land Port before snaking through China's southwest mountains and reaching Southeast Asian ports, marked the latest triumph of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor – a logistics network transforming Guizhou into a pulsating nexus of global trade.
The province's strategy hinges on synergizing land ports with coastal hubs. To the south, Guiyang partners with Guangzhou and Yantian ports, channeling goods through the Pearl River Delta to global markets. Over 170 freight trains have already thundered along this "Guizhou-Guangdong Express," weaving the province into maritime trade lanes.
