It is responsible for grasping and disposing of situations and cases endangering domestic security within the jurisdiction; for investigating criminal cases within the jurisdiction and preventing crimes; for implementing public security management within the jurisdiction; for managing the resident and foreign population within the jurisdiction; for matters relating to entry and exit management and foreign affairs security; for implementing fire supervision within the jurisdiction; for guiding, supervising and inspecting the internal security work of organs, enterprises, institutions, and educational units within the jurisdiction; for taking in criminal suspects and public security offenders; for implementing security work; for organising and implementing social security prevention and participating in the comprehensive management of social security; and for inspecting law enforcement work. It is responsible for the internal security work of organs, enterprises, institutions and cultural and educational establishments within the jurisdiction; it is responsible for the custody of criminal suspects and public security offenders; it is responsible for the implementation of security guards; it is responsible for the organisation and implementation of social security prevention, and participates in the comprehensive management of social security; and it is responsible for law enforcement inspection.
