Hainan Provincial Department of Veterans Affairs Functional Information
The Department of Veterans' Affairs of Hainan Province is a department of the provincial government in charge of the work of veterans' affairs in the province, and is at the departmental level.
The Department of Veterans' Affairs of Hainan Province implements the guidelines and policies of the Central Committee of the CPC on the work of veterans, as well as the policies and measures of the China (Hainan) Pilot Free Trade Zone and the Free Trade Port with Chinese Characteristics, implements the decision-making and deployment of the Provincial Party Committee, and adheres to and strengthens the Party's centralized and uniformed leadership of the work of veterans in the course of performing its duties. The main responsibilities are:
(a) To formulate and organize the implementation of policies and regulations on the ideology and politics, management and security, and resettlement and preferential treatment of veterans throughout the province, and to study and put forward policy proposals to promote the reform of veterans' affairs in the province.
(B) in conjunction with the relevant departments to formulate the military rehabilitation cadres resettlement policies and resettlement plans, the formulation of the province's retired conscripts, non-commissioned officers, demobilized cadres, the transfer of local resettlement of the retired military cadres and the military retired retired workers without military status to receive the resettlement plan and implementation of the program, is responsible for self-selected, employment of retired military personnel services and management.
(c) Organizing and guiding the province's education and training of veterans, and coordinating support for the employment and entrepreneurship of veterans and family members accompanying the army.
(4) To formulate, in conjunction with relevant departments, special protection policies for veterans in the province and organize their implementation.
(e) Organizing and coordinating the implementation of housing security for retired military personnel who have been handed over to localities in the province, other retired military personnel who meet the conditions and retired retired employees without military status, as well as the protection of medical care, social insurance and other treatment for retired military personnel.
(F) organizing and guiding the province's service management and pension work for disabled and sick veterans, formulating planning policies and guiding the implementation of medical treatment, convalescence and pension institutions for veterans; undertaking the work related to disabled and sick veterans who are unfit for further service; and organizing and guiding the work of guaranteeing the services provided by the military.
(VII) organizes and guides the province's work of supporting the military, undertaking the daily work of the Provincial Leading Group of Supporting the Military, Supporting the Military, Supporting the Government and Caring for the People; is responsible for the preferential treatment of active-duty military personnel, retired military personnel, civilian personnel of the army, and military dependents, pension and other work.

(j) Completing other tasks assigned by the provincial party committee, provincial government and higher authorities.
