Main responsibilities:
(a) In accordance with the provisions of the Statistical Law of the People's Republic of China, implement the policies, laws and regulations of the national statistical work, and formulate the city's statistical reform, scientific development of statistics and statistical survey programmes. Organisational leadership, coordination and guidance of the city's statistical work, supervision and inspection of the implementation of statistical laws, rules and regulations.
(b) According to the national statistical system, statistical standards and the statistical work assigned by the Bureau of Statistics of the Autonomous Region, organise the implementation of the city's national economic accounting system and input-output surveys, account for the city's gross domestic product, compile and provide information on national economic accounting, and supervise and manage the work of the counties (districts) in national economic accounting.
(c) Organise and implement the census of population, economy, agriculture and other major national conditions and important surveys deployed by the State. Guiding counties (districts), departments of the social and economic surveys, collect, collate and summarise the city's statistical data.
(d) Organise and implement statistics on agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery, industry, construction, fixed asset investment, real estate, wholesale and retail trade, accommodation and catering, rental and business services, residential services, repair and other services, culture, sports and entertainment, transport, storage and postal services, scientific research and technical services, energy consumption, residents' income, social, scientific and technological, population, labour force, urban development, and so on. basic situation, basic situation of the environment and other statistical surveys, collect, summarise, collate and provide statistical data on the surveys.
