Wuzhou Science and Technology Bureau Functional Information
(a) To formulate and organise the implementation of the city's innovation-driven strategic policies, as well as the planning and policies for the development of science and technology and the introduction of foreign intelligence.
(ii) Coordinate and promote the construction of the city's innovation system and reform of the science and technology system, and improve the incentive mechanism for technological innovation in conjunction with relevant departments. Optimise the construction of scientific research system, guide the reform and development of scientific research institutions, promote the construction of enterprise scientific and technological innovation capacity, and promote the development of scientific and technological civil-military fusion related work.
(c) Lead the establishment of a unified science and technology management platform and scientific research project funding, assessment and supervision mechanism at Wuzhou city level. In conjunction with relevant departments to put forward proposals on policies and measures to optimise scientific and technological resources, promote the construction of a diversified science and technology investment system, coordinate the management of financial science and technology programmes at the Wuzhou city level and supervise their implementation.
(d) Assist in the implementation of autonomous regions and major basic research and applied basic research. Assist in the organisation of major scientific and technological innovation base construction and supervision of implementation. Assist in organising the construction of autonomous regional laboratories, and promote the construction of scientific research conditions and open sharing of scientific and technological resources.
(e) To prepare Wuzhou City, major science and technology project planning and supervise the implementation, co-ordinate the regional key common technology, modern engineering technology research and development and innovation, and take the lead in organising major technological research and demonstration of the results of application.
(vi) Organise and formulate plans, policies and measures for the development and industrialisation of high and new technologies, and for the promotion of science and technology in agriculture, rural areas and social development. It organises the analysis of technological development needs in key areas, proposes major tasks and supervises their implementation.
(vii) Leading the construction of the city's technology transfer system, formulating policies and measures related to the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements and the promotion of the integration of industry, academia and research, and supervising their implementation. Guide the development of science and technology services, technology market and technology intermediary organisations.
