The main responsibilities of the Guigang Public Security Bureau are:
(a) To study and formulate public security work plans, implementation programmes and measures; to deploy, guide, supervise and inspect public security work; to guide the construction of the legal system of public security organs.
(b) Preventing, stopping and detecting illegal and criminal activities;
(iii) Maintaining public order and security, investigating and punishing acts endangering public order and security in accordance with the law, and managing firearms, ammunition, control knives, dangerous goods and special industries in accordance with the law.
(d) Managing household administration, nationality, entry and exit affairs and affairs relating to the residence and travel of foreigners in China.
(v) Maintaining traffic safety and traffic order, dealing with traffic accidents as well as the management of motor vehicles, inspections and driver examinations, and the administration of driving licences.
(vi) Responsible for the security of state organs, social groups, enterprises and public institutions and key construction projects as well as the security of mass security organisations.
(G) supervision and management of computer information system security protection work
(viii) Executing the sentences of criminals sentenced to control, detention, deprivation of political rights and criminals serving sentences outside prison, and supervising and inspecting criminals who have been pronounced on probation or parole.
(ix) Guarding specific persons specified by the State and guarding important places and facilities;
(j) Organising and implementing the city's public security science and technology work, planning public security information technology, criminal technology, technical reconnaissance and traffic management technology construction.
(XI) the development of equipment, clothing and funding and other police security plans, systems; allocation and management of equipment and materials.
(xii) Responsible for people's police recruitment and establishment management; organisation and guidance of public security education and training and public security publicity and cultural work, inspection and supervision of the implementation; management of cadres in accordance with the prescribed authority.
(xiii) Organising and guiding the construction of the city's public security forces, analysing the situation of the forces; organising and guiding the work of inspectors of public security organs; supervising the implementation of cadres in accordance with the prescribed authority; investigating and handling or supervising major cases of indiscipline in the public security forces.
(xiv) Other duties prescribed by laws and regulations.
