- Tian'e County is located in the northwest of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the upper reaches of the Hongshui River, the southern edge of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, neighboring Nandan County in the east, Fengshan County and Donglan County in the south, Leye County of Baise City in the west, and Luodian County of Guizhou Province in the north, across the Hongshui River, which is the “northern gate” of Guangxi bordering Guizhou. The county has a total area of 3,184 square kilometers, with 91 administrative villages and 4 communities in 2 towns and 7 townships, inhabited by 29 nationalities such as Zhuang, Han, Yao, Miao, Buyei, Maonan, etc., with a total population of 176,600 people, and is the Hometown of Chicken of China, Hometown of Chinese Yau-tung, Hometown of Chinese Golden Flower Tea, Hometown of Chinese Longtan Pearl Plum, and Hometown of Chinese Longevity. The main pillar industries are water (wind) power industry, characteristic advantageous forest and fruit industry, animal husbandry and aquaculture and eco-tourism.
County characteristics are summarized as “a city, two counties, two districts”. “A city” that is, the first city on the Hongshui River, Hongshui River flows through the first county is Tian'e County, flowing through the county 115 kilometers, through the city, creating a beautiful, ecologically livable garden mountain city. The “two counties”, i.e. the big hydropower county and the key county of reservoir area immigrants, with hydropower resources accounting for 45% of the total reserves of the Hongshui River Basin, is the location of Longtan Hydropower Station. Resettlement of immigrants in the reservoir area involves 9 townships, 44 administrative villages and 201 village groups, with a total immigrant population of nearly 30,000 people. The “two zones” are longevity population concentration area and ecotourism resources concentration area, the county's per capita ratio of people over 100 years old far exceeds the United Nations' standard of 7.5 centenarians per 100,000 people, and the county has been honored as “China's Longevity Hometown”, and it is the home of Bama Longevity and Health International. It is an important part of Bama Longevity and Health International Tourism Zone.
At the same time, Tian'e is also a national agricultural product quality safety county, a national safe fishery demonstration county, a national greening model county, a national ecological civilization demonstration project pilot county, with 153 modern characteristic agriculture (core) demonstration areas (gardens, points), a forest land area of 4,153,000 acres (of which 3,360,000 acres of China's owned forest land), six state-owned forest farms and an autonomous region-level nature reserve, and a forest coverage of 79.97%, ranking first in Guangxi. 79.97%, ranking the top in Guangxi. There are 1,308,500 mu of fir, 183,000 mu of “three specialties” fruits, 208,000 mu of oil tea, 193,600 mu of walnut, 160,800 mu of pine, 120,000 mu of wild golden tea, 105,000 mu of chestnut, 88,400 mu of oleander, and 76,000 mu of bamboo forest in the county. Longtan Pearl Plum, the “Queen of the Plum Family” cultivated independently, has won the honors of registration of geographical indications of agricultural products by the Ministry of Agriculture, 100 regional public brands of agricultural products that are the most popular among consumers, and the most influential regional public brands of agricultural products in China, etc. The company has also been awarded the honor of being the most influential regional public brand of agricultural products in China. Four agricultural products, including “Happy” camellia oil, have passed the “Shenzhen Product” certification. Tian'e is one of the core areas (Tian'e, Nandan, Donglan) of the National Copper Drum Culture and Ecological Protection Experimental Area, with two national intangible cultural heritages, namely, the Zhuang Ant-trafficking Festival and the Zhuang Copper Drum Customs, as well as five autonomous regions' intangible cultural heritages such as the Eight Immortals of the Zhuang, the Zhuang Ant-trafficking Dance, and the Zhuang Tubular Thumping Art. There are one national 4A-level tourist attraction, two national 3A-level tourist attractions, one autonomous region eco-tourism demonstration area, and six beauty, double-dragon waterfalls and other star-level rural tourism areas, Tian'e is gradually becoming a better tourist destination, recreation and health and prosperity.
