- Guiping is located in southeastern Guangxi Xunyu Plain of the elite zone, the Tropic of Cancer crosses the central part, Qianjiang, Yujiang, Xunjiang River in the urban areas of the confluence, the jurisdiction of the total area of 4,071 square kilometres, under the jurisdiction of 26 townships and villages, with a total of 411 administrative villages and 33 communities (including 4 communities of the resettlement zone of the resettlement area of the easy-to-immigrant resettlement). Guiping, also known as Xunzhou, is one of the cities with the longest history in Guangxi, with a number of Stone Age sites remaining. Qin Shi Huang unified the south and set up the ‘Three Counties of Lingnan’, Guiping was a dependency of Guilin County, and Bushan County, the ruler of Guilin County, was located in Guiping. In the first year of the Liang Dynasty (502 AD), Guiping County and Guiping County were established.
